tokyo running days

A marathoner / newbie triathlete's training blog.

Wednesday, March 1

Again, haven't updated for a while.

I had high fever this weekend. And the cold I have been having for a while finally saw the end and I managed to jog 10km on Monday.

Today I went to Namban workout. There weren't many people due to rain, no girls except me. While everyone else was doing 1000m x 6 or hill training, I did pace run. Since I was still recovering from the cold, I didn't want to do hard ones, trying to avoid possible injuries. I ran 10km with 4:30 - 4:35/km pace. The rain got harder and harder and I got soaking wet at the end. But I love running in a bad weather! I am a type of person who gets excited when a typhoon comes.

After warming ourselves in the sento, we ate dinner at a cosy little gurmet burger place near Yoyogi Koen Parking. I ate Chili Cheese Burger 1,100yen. I prefer burgers to pizzas.

◎Today's distance: 14km

Yep, that burger was nice. But not quite enough. Have to order more next time. You were very strong and brave to run last night. Glad you enjoyed it. What is it with all the other ladies and rain? We had 14 boys and 0 girls at the start.

I want to know where all the girls were, too. I was lonely in the women's bath at the sento.

When I was high school student,I ran the outside on a rainy day.
But I suffered from tuberculosis, because immunity power became weak by getting wet with the rain.
Therefore I don't run outside on a rainy day.
Best regards.
