19:58.

Exactly a year ago, I ran my first sub 20min 5k (19:53). Today, I made second one, 19:58 (3:54 / 3:58 / 4:03 / 4:05 / 3:56), 5sec. off from PB, and it was really barely, but I am still happy. Huge thanks to Motozo for leading me all the way.

BTW, Paddy made another PB today, 19:03! It's his 3rd PB in 5 days, and almost 1 min. faster than last month's 5k TT. 1 min. improvement in one month! Amazing! I should drink more Guiness, too!

Thank you! I am hoping to run sub 20min. 5k more often this winter.

Well done on your 10km at Edogawa! You are now constant sub 40min runner!

Congratulations Mika. It's nice to know that you are up there on the speed side, and as last Sunday showed, probably better on the the endurance side (compared to this time last year I mean), so you are definitely on for a good marathon!

Paddy's improvement is incredible ... has he been training lots, or just not trying hard enough in the past? I'll have to ask him that .. ;-)

Steve, thanks. It's hard for me to improve speed side. During my marathon training in the past, I always made PBs at mile, 5k and half marathon, but this time, I have only made one PB at 10km. Hoping to make one at the half marathon this Sunday.

Aya, パディはアイリッシュの男子。前はトラックで私の後ろを走ってたのに、いまじゃ遥か前方に行ってしまったよーん(泣)。

ショウジさん、3本目は、今年12月に狙いたいです。東京国際が終わったら、スピード強化だー!

男子って練習すると’ぐーん’とのびるんだよね。それに比べて私達ってxxx私の過去の栄光19'09、当時は18分台も視野に入っていたのに、。。。。 スピード強化って何したら言いの? キントレ?

う~ん、たしか怪我などで走れなくて
ひたすら筋トレに励んでいた結果が19'09だったような?そのご10Kも40分切ったんだよな~ その2ヶ月前は21分切れてなかったから、すごい進歩だったのよ。
私、狂ったようにジムに通ってたよ(週5、2-3時間)。トレーナーに、休んでください!って頼まれたような(笑
なんか私らしいでしょう:-))

well done Mika. Still... i am sure you could do much faster 5k times... If RunningTimes result predictor is anything to go by 19:58 "only" points to 1:31 half and 3:15 marathon. Your marathon time points to a 19:25 5k... So you can look forward to many more PBs!! Arnaud
